Hey Cape-Al, PFM were supposed to be playing London 20th May - I even had tickets, but they've cancelled!!! I was guttered, cos, as you say - they are the prog brilliance. the 2CD manticore years is a superb compilation too.

Aphrodite's child emblazoned in gold above this. The contents consist of two black 12" vinyl discs with a single groove cut into each side. The CD version being somewhat smaller.....

Through work I've met a teenage boy who dumped his girlfriend cos she was, in his words, frigid. They were having sex, plenty of it if he was telling the truth, but she was dumped cos she wouldn't go ass to mouth...

Unbelievable, but that's what he said. He was one of many kids I know who have an altogether bad attitude to sex. But ass to mouth boy was the worst.

I totally agree! I had the misfortune of watching 'The joy of teen sex' this week and was agog that not only are 'children' accessing porn from the age of 11 but will, on average, loose their virginity at the age of 13! One girl on the show was 15 and already had 8 or 9 sexual partners and an abortion....where am I going with this? Actually I think I'm just going down the horribly shocked, Mary WHitehouse road. The show openly said that the porn British children are accessing is making them think they have to look like the actors and replicate the sex acts they are viewing....and I truly believe this is down to keeping nakedness behind closed doors and not talking openly about sex cause we're British and we don't talk about these things at any time, especially in front of the children!! DId that make sense? If not, please delete my comment....

The problem with lost is that almost none of it relates to previous seasons. Theres hardly any cause and effect. After the first season they just started making shit up and pretending there was an overarching story which would answer all the questions.

We were talking about this at work yesterday. Apparently a week before his flight another test pilot was killed in a high altitude test, and Yuri was sworn to secrecy. When he left he was given an envelope with the instructions on how to take manual control, but told not to use them. And he almost burned up on re-entry when part of his shuttle didn't detach properly..... sounds like it was pretty rough going :(

I've always thought it was the plan and that was the real point. Charlie is the only good kid there. The others each have major personality defects that need resolved in some way. Of course that's the genius of Roald Dahl. His story's tend to work on more than one level depending on the age of the audience or reader.
